In 1996, Syukri graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with a Bachelor of Human Sciences in Political Science, which he has started his professional career as Management Trainee in the largest investment institution – Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB). With the fundamental training that he has received through the journey, he then pursued an MBA from National University of Malaysia (UKM) in 2000, which has led him towards becoming a successful HR leader today. Syukri is also the President of Association of Insurance Employer and accredited practitioner of Human Synergistics LSI/GSI.

 

He has served number of companies in his career such as GITN Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of Telekom Malaysia Berhad), PJSI Sdn Berhad and PJBumi Berhad including an opportunity working in Africa.

 

As a firm believer of AAGI’s purpose of Empowering People to Live a Better Life, Syukri empowers his people to reach their potential including challenging the status quo and ultimately bringing the Company to another level in relation to Human Resources practices, with constant aspiration to be the best in the industry. Through Syukri’s leadership, the People Office of AAGI thrived through the transformation of HR, specifically in employee experience, culture, talent management and rewards, alongside digital innovation initiatives via usage of robotics and artificial intelligence.
