Encik Izham Bin Ab Wahab
Chief Human Capital Officer

IZHAM BIN AB WAHAB is currently the Chief Human Capital Officer at Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN). Prior to joining BSN, he was the Head of Group Human Capital for DRB-HICOM Berhad, the corporate headquarters of DRB-HICOM Group of Companies. He was also previously the General Manager, Strategic Human Resources with Malaysia Airports Holdings Berhad (MAHB).
Before a brief stint with MAHB, Izham worked as the Head of Group Human Resources for MMC Corporation Berhad, the investment holding company and corporate headquarters of MMC Group. He is a member of MMC’s Senior Management Committee where he was responsible to effectively plan, design, develop and implement human resource related initiatives that supports MMC Group’s strategic goals. Izham had also worked a Senior Manager, Organisational Development at Chemical Company Malaysia Berhad (CCM) before joining MMC.
Izham has over 20 years of experience in the field of Human Resource, Project Management, Quality Management and Consulting in various management capacities. His knowledge and exposure in the field of human resource were mainly in the area of organisation design, manpower planning, recruitment and selection, rewards and recognition, learning and development, talent management and performance management.
Izham has experience working in Saudi Arabia as a senior consultant and training manager, in a consultancy project undertaken by his former employer, Innovation Associates Consulting Sdn Bhd. Izham also had the rare opportunity to be directly involved in two large scales IT system implementations and quality management system implementation when he was with Syarikat Takaful Malaysia Berhad. In line with his vast experience in organisational learning, Izham was appointed by Department of Skills Development, Ministry of Human Resources as the committee for Learn and Work Assignment for Life Insurance’s non-executive and executive, a body to review, evaluate and approve the National Occupational Skill Standards for National Dual Training System. Izham’s role was expanded when he was appointed as the Deputy President of the Working Committee National Skills Development for Insurance.
Izham graduated from International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) with Bachelor of Economics (Hons). Izham is also certified by Development Dimensions International (DDI) as Analyst for Success Profiling and Targeted Selection®: Interviewer. In addition, Izham is certified by Thomas International in the field of Personal Profile Analysis and Human Job Analysis.
