Benefits of Membership MEF value its members by providing professional services at no cost at all, except for some services (which are marked with asterisk). The additional cost incurred is minimal and members would be advised prior to the confirmation of services.

These are the privileges of membership with MEF:


IR Services
   
Employers, particularly the HR Managers and Administrators shall be advised, guided and assisted in all aspects of Labour Laws and Industrial Relations matters. MEF IR Consultants could appear on behalf of members at Labour Court hearings*, conciliation proceedings* and Industrial Relations proceedings. Monthly meetings are held at the various locations enabling members to discuss matters of general and particular interests.
   
   
Research & Information Services
   
MEF conducts on surveys on labour related matters to gauge the trend in compensation packages, and research into some of the critical IR issues. Surveys on Salary and Fringe Benefits for Executives and Non Executives are conducted yearly. Reports of the Salary and Fringe Benefits survey are sold at 50% discounted rate for members*. MEF also responds to queries from members regarding the latest Consumer Price Index (CPI), labour statistics and economic data.
   
   
Publications
   
Circulars are produced to keep members informed of the developments in government policies, legislation and important issues in labour-related matters. Monthly e-newsletter named The Malaysian Employer containing information of interest to members is provided to members.
   
   
Participation in Seminars and Conferences
   
Participants from member companies are nominated regularly by MEF to attend local and international seminars and conferences on various relevant subjects. MEF also organises national conferences and seminars on topical themes where members can send their representatives to participate in these conferences/seminars at discounted fees. In addition to that, for members contributing to the Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), the seminar fees are claimable from HRDF.
