The publication was a follow-up of the MEF Work-Life Balance 2012 with the objective to provide necessary and up-to date information on work-life balance practices to private sector companies in Malaysia. The report focused on four categories of work-life balance practices/ indicators, namely the flexible working arrangements (FWAs), family-friendly facilities, work-life benefits and health/ wellness programmes.
17.6 per cent of the respondents commonly implemented flexible working hours for the Executives. For Non Executives, shift swapping was commonly implemented by 14.1 per cent of the respondent companies.
