In 1963, Y.B. Tan Sri Dato' S.O.K. Ubaidulla was appointed Chairman of the Malayan Employers' Consultative Association (MECA), following his previous role as Vice Chairman. Ubaidulla’s leadership marked a significant period for the Association, as he played an instrumental role in shaping its direction for nearly two decades. His tenure as Chairman continued until December 1982, during which he tirelessly worked to further the interests of the employers within the evolving socio-economic landscape of Malaysia. In recognition of his long-standing and dedicated service, Ubaidulla was later conferred the title of Hon. Life President of the Association.
