The surveys on Salary and Fringe Benefits for Executives and Non-Executives are carried out every year. The surveys benchmark jobs from all industries and they provide useful information on weighted averages for each job area. Over the years, the MEF Salary Surveys for Executives and Non-Executives were highly sought after by HR/IR Practitioners as well as the Government as the data contained in the publications reflected the salary benchmarks of the private sector in Malaysia.

Other available resources include comprehensive collection of Collective Agreements, Industrial Courts Awards, books, magazines and reports.

Big Data, Research and Information Department (BRID) offers services for members of MEF including a special rate on publications and commissioned research grants. Services to non-MEF members are also offered on a case-by-case basis. The following are the Department’s main roles:

  • Conduct Annual Surveys on Salary of Executive and Non-executive, Employee Fringe Benefits and Medical Benefits, Compilation of Collective Agreements.
  • Conduct Adhoc Surveys and Polls.
  • Accept Consultancy projects commissioned by member companies based on specific requirements.
  • Act as an information exchange and collaboration partner to member companies on Consumer Price Index, Salary and Benefits, Economic, and Labour-related matters.
  • Co-create knowledge materials and tools in collaboration with reputable international organisations to capacitate employers and the business community.
