​Ms. Rajeswari obtained her LL.B (Hons) from University of London in 1992 and
pursued a career as a Law Lecturer for 4 years. She was called to the Malaysian Bar in
1997 and practiced as an Advocate & Solicitor specialising in Industrial Relations and
Employment Laws for over 20 years. Ms. Rajeswari has extensive experience in the
Industrial Court of Malaysia and has regularly represented her clients in the High
Court, Court of Appeal and the Federal Court. She has handled complex advisory and
counsel work for many of Malaysia’s prominent public listed corporations and
institutions.

Rajeswari was appointed as a Chairman of the Industrial Court of Malaysia in early
2018 and served in this capacity for nearly 6 years before joining MEF in July 2024. As
Chairman of Industrial Court, Rajeswari has heard and disposed of over 600 cases.
She has also presented papers at the Industrial Court Chairmen’s Conference and
Judicial & Legal Service Training Institute (ILKAP).

Ms. Rajeswari also served as a Consultant in the World Bank where she contributed to
the Introduction of Minimum Wages in Malaysia in 2012 and co-authored several
reports. Ms. Rajeswari has been a regular speaker on Malaysian Employment and
Industrial Relations laws and a contributing author of the guidebook - Industrial
Relations and Practice in Malaysia published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2021.

Dato' Hj Jalaldin Bin Hussain

​ ​Prior to joining Malaysian Employers Federation in June 2021 as the Senior Consultant
– Industrial Relations, Dato’ Hj Jalaldin Hussain was the Chairman of Industrial
Court in Kuala Lumpur (Task Force) with effect from 14 March 2018.

Upon reading law with the University of Malaya in 1982, he joined the Anti-Corruption
Agency as Deputy Public Prosecutor (DPP). In June 1983, Dato’ Hj Jalaldin was
appointed as the DPP for the State of Perak and then as the Senior Assistant Registrar
counsel work for many of Malaysia’s prominent public listed corporations and
to the High Court of Johor Bharu.

He was subsequently posted as Senior Assistant Registrar to the High Court Kuala
Lumpur in the same year and was performing his duties as a Magistrate in Rawang,
Selangor. In 1985, he was appointed as a Senior Federal Counsel with the Attorney
General’s Chambers.

Dato’ Hj Jalaldin then moved back to the Anti-Corruption Agency as a Deputy
Prosecuting Officer. In June 1990, he was posted to the Ministry of Home Affairs as
Senior Federal Counsel an in 1992, he was posted to the Attorney General’s Chambers
as DPP. Thereafter, in 1994, he was appointed a ‘Judge Advocate General’ with the
Ministry of Defence. Following that, he was posted as Senior Federal Counsel, with
Attorney General’s Chambers in 1998. In the same month, he was posted as Official
Assignee and Official Receiver, a position he held until 2000 when he was appointed as
Legal Advisor to the Sate of Kelantan. This was followed with an appointment as
Director General of Institut Latihan Kehakiman dan Perundangan (ILKAP). In 2005,
Dato’ Haji Jalaldin was the Assistant Commissioner with the Legal Advisory
Department. In 2006, Dato’ Haji Jalaldin was appointed as the Chairman of Industrial
Court Kuala Lumpur till his retirement in August 2014.

Dato’ Hj Jalaldin has vast experiences in the field of industrial relations and human
resource development and management and has adjudicated on numerous Industrial
Court cases. He re-joined the Industrial Court as Task Force Chairman in 2018 and
retired on 31 December 2019. On 16 June 2021, he joined MEF as Senior Consultant –
Industrial Relations.

MS. SARASWATHI RAVINDRAN is a Senior Consultant -IR with more than 10 years’
experience with MEF. Her extensive experience and passion, focuses predominantly on
Employment laws, Industrial Relations and Labour Laws in Malaysia.

She is a lawyer by profession who has completed her Masters in Law (UKM). She is a
graduate with an LLB Hons from University of Northumbria UK and also has
successfully completed the Certificate in Legal Practice.

She specializes in handling Industrial and Labour Court cases representing MEF’s
Member Companies throughout Malaysia. She also provides advisory and consultancy
services to member Companies pertaining to Employment matters. She has also
assisted many companies in the reviewing their handbooks, employments
agreements, assisting inretrenchment exercises, advisory on the minimum wages,
trade union matters etc.

Further, she is also a registered HRDF Trainer and a qualified Japan’s MTP Trainer with
AOTS who is actively involved in providing Trainings to member Companies
throughout Malaysia, in relation to The Employment Act 1955, Disciplinary
Procedures, Managing Probationers, Handling Termination, Understanding Sexual

Justin graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Cardiff University, United Kingdom, before
returning to Malaysia to earn his Certificate of Legal Practice in 1998. He was
admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in 1999 and
thereafter, in the proceeding years, embarked into practicing various areas of the law,
including litigation, corporate and conveyancing matters.

He also practised law in Singapore for 8 years by obtaining his Graduate Diploma in
Singapore Law from the National University of Singapore and being admitted as an
Advocate and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Singapore in 2010.
Subsequently, he was engaged as Senior Industrial Relations Consultant in a specialist
consultancy firm, and eventually went on to lead the employment law practice at M/s
Donny Wong & Co in Kuala Lumpur.

Justin has advised and represented organisations and individuals on a wide range of
employment matters including industrial / labour court matters, conciliation meetings,
termination of employment, constructive dismissal, Mutual Separation Schemes, poor
performance, transfers, secondment, retrenchment, reorganization and restructuring

EN MUHAMAD SHARULNIZAM MOHD RONI, is an MEF Consultant – Industrial
Relations. He read law at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) and an
advocate and solicitor by profession. Prior to joining MEF, he practiced law at Messrs.
Zul Rafique & Partners in their Employment & Industrial Relations practice group and
Messrs. Rosli Ismail & Co in general litigation. In MEF, he is currently based in MEF HQ
office located in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.

He is experienced in handling a range of contentious and non-contentious industrial
relations and employment matters and disputes, in defending various companies in
Labour Court and Industrial Court such as a Malaysian multi-national oil and gas
company, a Malaysian largest public transportation company, Malaysian banking
institutions etc., including unfair dismissal claims due to poor performance and
misconduct i.e. absenteeism, theft, conflict of interest, abuse of power, sexual
harassment and workplace bullying, constructive dismissal claims, advising on

Sacha Maria Aloyous Alfred

In 2014, Sacha achieved a Second Upper LLB (Hons) from the University of
Hertfordshire and went on to obtain the Certificate in Legal Practice. Whilst doing so,
she completed internships at Dennis Nik & Wong, Raja Darryl & Loh and Adnan Sundra
& Low, besides working as a paralegal in Raja Darryl & Loh. Engaging actively in
mooting throughout her university tenure, Sacha won all the competitions she signed
up for in her final year, eventually being titled the "best mooter". She then completed
her pupillage at Azim Tunku Farik & Wong in 2018 and was called to the Bar in
January 2019 as an advocate and solicitor.

Sacha commenced practice in general litigation, employment law and industrial
relations at a boutique firm in KL before joining Dharmen Sivalingam & Partners in
2020, practicing in these areas as well as others. In doing so, she has been actively
involved in representing companies of all sizes as well as individuals at the Industrial
Court and various civil courts throughout Malaysia.

In addition, Sacha is passionate about many social causes and has volunteered at
organisations assisting in disaster relief, feeding the homeless and campaigning for
the ratification of UN's ICERD. It is the latter that inspired Sacha to write her master's
degree thesis on racial discrimination in Malaysia; consequently, she obtained an LLM
in Legal Practice from Nottingham Trent University in 2019. Sacha is also a member of
the Bar Council's Committee on Orang Asli Rights and has participated in sessions
dispensing legal advice to the indigenous people of Peninsular Malaysia.

At Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), Sacha's role comprises representing MEF

Shalani Devi was called to the Malaysia Bar in 1997. She has been practising in all
areas of law since she was called until she became part of the MEF organisation in
2007. She worked with Mr William, ex Director of Industrial Department and headed
the Northern Region after his demise until 2016 when she started to operate her own
legal firm as sole proprietor of Shalani Devi & Co.

As a practising lawyer she continued practising Industrial and Labour Laws and has
represented Companies, Claimant and has also represented MTUC in a number of
Appeals handling cases right up to Federal Court, on a broader spectrum of laws.

She has now rejoined MEF and heads the Northern Region with continued passion in
Industrial and Labour Matters.

She is a registered HRDF Trainer since 2007 and has been actively involved in
training, providing training to companies throughout Malaysia in relation to

Noor Aishah

Ms. Noor Aishah, holding a Bachelor of Laws from Universiti Teknologi MARA and a
Master of Laws from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, is an Advocate and Solicitor
admitted to the High Court in Malaya. Beginning her career in 2008 as a Deputy Public
Prosecutor at the Attorney General’s Chambers of Malaysia (Jabatan Peguam Negara
Malaysia), she transitioned to serving as a legal adviser to government agencies and
statutory/enforcement bodies. With extensive courtroom experience, Ms. Noor Aishah
has handled diverse cases, including commercial crimes and corruption. After
embarking into private sectors, Ms. Noor Aishah in her role as an in-house senior legal

Mr. Muhammad Zulfadlee Thye Bin Abdullah, widely known as Zul Thye, is an Industrial Relations (IR) Consultant currently with the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), based in the Melaka Branch. With over 24 years of dedicated experience in union movements and industrial relations across Malaysia, Mr. Zul Thye brings a wealth of knowledge and practical expertise to his role, focusing on employer-employee relations, labour law compliance, and dispute resolution. 

In Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) - Melaka Branch, Mr. Zul Thye provides advisory services, represents employers in IR cases, and leads training programs to improve workplace harmony and compliance with national labour laws. 

In his previous role at the Social Protection Contributors Advisory Association Malaysia (SPCAAM) as the Communications and IR Coordinator, he managed key communication initiatives and coordinated industrial relations activities, fostering improved social protection for all the employees and business communities.  

Whereas at the Malaysian Trades Union Congress (MTUC) Mr. Zul Thye as the Industrial Relations Officer, played a pivotal role in advocating for workers' rights, managing cases at the Department of Labour, Department of Industrial Relations, and Labour Court. His contributions included mediation, case preparation, and representation, significantly impacting worker protections in Malaysia. 

In the Leadership and Advocacy in Union Movements, Mr Zul Thye was a President of a multinational electronics company’s union for 11 years, steering critical initiatives and union strategies. Member of the Industrial Relations Bureau at MTUC, contributing to the development of fair labour practices and policies. 

For the International Collaboration and Representation, Mr Zul Thye had served as Project Coordinator for MTUC’s bilateral projects with the International Labour Organization (ILO) Bangkok, Asia-Pacific, and the Solidarity Center USA, facilitating the exchange of labour practices and standards. Represented Malaysia in numerous national and international forums, conferences, and seminars, where he shared his expertise on union activities, labour rights, and the evolving employment landscape.

En.Muhammad Hafiz obtained his Bachelor of Law (Honours) (L.LB) from Universiti

decided to pursue his second pupillage in Kota Kinabalu at Messrs. Rakhbir Singh & Co
