PN. ANNE KUNG holds a Bachelor of Laws LL.B (Hons.) Degree from the London School of Economics, UK and is also a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Upon admission to the High Court of Borneo, Pn. Kung joined Chew, Jugah, Wan Ullok & Co in 1983 to work on legal documentation, litigation and conveyancing. In 1987, she joined Touché Ross & Co., London as a trainee accountant where she worked on insolvency and corporate recovery matters in the retail, manufacturing and financial industries. It was also during this time that Pn. Kung obtained her qualification as Chartered Accountant.
Between 1992 and 1996, she joined Encorp Sdn Bhd as Business Development Manager and later Quality Concrete Sdn Bhd as Finance Director. Upon the public listing of the latter company on the KLSE as Quality Concrete Holdings Berhad, Pn. Kung became its first Executive Director (1996-2003).
Pn. Kung is presently Chief Executive Officer of Instacom Engineering Sdn Bhd.
She is a member of the Lincoln’s Inn, London, and the High Court of Borneo since 1983, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales (1991) and the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (1992).
Pn. Kung is currently Vice President of the Persatuan Pandu Puteri Sarawak since 1996, a Committee Member of the Sarawak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) since 1998 and also served as its Treasurer since 2007.She sits on the SOCSO Appeal Board as employer representative since 2004.
She served as Director of Sarawak Concrete Industries Berhad (1994-2000), and as Treasurer of the Lodge Group of Schools (2000-2012).
