MEF Services MEF provides a wide range of services to its members especially in the area of Human Resources and Industrial Relations.


Human Resources & Industrial Relations
   
With our team of IR experts, MEF provides valuable services and assistance to members to manage their business and their human resources more effectively through best practices with regards to matters such as employer-employee relations, union negotiation, labour legislations, wage systems, medical and other social benefits. Whilst all consultancy services provided at our premises are complementary, court representations, conciliations and specialised consultancy services are minimally charged.
   
   
Research & Information
   
MEF Research and Information Department conducts surveys mainly on the Salary and Fringe benefits for Executives and Non-Executives in August each year. The surveys benchmark jobs from all industries and they provide useful information on weighted averages for each job areas. Employers as well as government agencies refer to our surveys in determining the appropriate pay for their respective organisations.

In addition to our annual surveys, "Collective Agreements", "Leave and Absenteeism" and other publications that are relevant to employers in Malaysia are also available for sale at the MEF Secretariat.

Our monthly MEF e-Newsletter "The Malaysian Employer" is an important communication tool to convey to our members about MEF policies and activities, including the latest Court awards, training schedule and relevant articles.
   
   
Workplace Training & Development
   
MEF has a comprehensive range on public courses at competitive rates for members to prepare for current and future challenges. Facilitated by experienced trainers in their respective fields, training at MEF covers the entire spectrum of Industrial Relations, Human Resources Management & Development and Occupational Safety & Health (OSH). Custom designed programmes/courses are also available to help members build their core competencies to meet market demands. Accredited by the Human Resources Development Fund, members enjoy substantial savings for all public and in-house courses offered by the MEF Academy.
