Senior Consultant – Industrial Relations
 
As a Senior Consultant at the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), you will play a major role in providing expert consultancy and advisory services to MEF members on various aspects of employment-related matters. Your responsibilities will cover a broad range of tasks in supporting and representing members on industrial relations activities.
 
Responsibilities  
  1. Provide comprehensive consultancy and advisory assistance to MEF members on diverse employment-related issues.
  2. Represent members during Collective Agreement negotiations with unions.
  3. Attend conciliation proceedings at the Industrial Relations Department on behalf of members.
  4. Represent members in hearings at both the Labour Court and Industrial Court.
  5. Conduct training courses in Industrial Relations and Labour Laws for MEF members.
  6. Facilitate and service monthly regional meetings.
  7. Conduct research and prepare papers on Human Resources/Industrial Relations matters as requested.
  8. Lead and manage key assignments/projects related on labour laws and employment matters.
  9. Participate in member engagement and promotional programs/networking.
  10. Attend meetings and undertake any other duties assigned by the Executive Director or Senior General Manager – Advisory.
 
Requirements  
  1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  2. Strong leadership abilities to guide, advise, and support members.
  3. Ability to build and maintain positive relationships, fostering a collaborative team environment.
  4. In-depth understanding of key principles of employment laws.
  5. Proficient in relevant computer systems and software.
  6. Strong ethical values, moral integrity, and sound judgment.
 
Experience

Possess a minimum of 6 years of experience in the field of industrial relations, with a track record of handling IR cases at the IR/Labour Court.
