Careers

Consultant - Occupational Safety, Health & Environment (OSHE)

The Consultant will provide consultancy and advisory assistance to the Federation’s members on all aspects of Occupational Safety and Health -related matters.

Responsibilities

To engage and assist members on OSH legal compliance by providing guidance and advisory services
To plan and deliver OSH consultancy services covering Risk Assessment (RA) and OSH legal audit implementation and consultation
To organize and conduct periodic OSH regional meetings, training courses and awareness programs
To promote and market RA and OSH legal audit services through the Federation’s engagement activities including participation in programs with DOSH, NIOSH, MSOSH and other related agencies
To conduct research and prepare papers on OSH matters or other relevant position papers as may be requested, from time to time by the Executive Director and/or the Senior OSH Consultant
To attend meetings and any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Executive Director or the Senior Consultant - OSHE.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in OSH / Engineering / Science or equivalent
Well versed in the OSH Act 1994 and Factories Machinery Act 1967
Possess a SHO certification and Train the Trainer accredited by HRD Corporation
Possess OSH Lead Auditor certification - ISO 45000
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia
Strong leadership skills to guide, advise and support members
Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues and be a team player
Computer literate (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)

Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience in OSH and risk assessment
