SUBANG, Tues, 8 Oct 2019 – The Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO) launched three new publications at the MEF National Conference 2019 that was held at the Holiday Villa Hotels and Resort here today.
The launching of the new publications coincided with the ILO Centenary and the MEF 60th Anniversary celebrations.
The publications were launched by MEF President Tan Sri Azman Shah Dato’ Seri Haron and ILO Assistant Director‐General and Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific Ms Tomoko Nishimoto.
The ‘MEF Practical Guide to HR Management (2nd edition)’, the ‘ILO Business Responsibility on Preventing and Addressing Forced Labour in Malaysia: A Must‐Read Guide for Malaysian Employers’; and its companion the ‘ILO Business Responsibility on Preventing and Addressing Forced Labour in Malaysia: Training Facilitator’s Guide’ – were distributed to the participants of the MEF National Conference 2019.
With the theme ‘The Future of Work – Issues and Challenges’, the Conference featured international and local speakers who are experts in their various fields.
Among the topics that were covered in the two‐day event included ‘New Technology and Its Impact on Business and Employment’, ‘Future of Work and the Decent Work Agenda’, ‘Transforming the Next Generation of Future Leaders in the Digital‐Driven IR 4.0’ and ‘Blockchain Transformation for Human Resources / Industrial Relations Transformation.’
