Ministry of Human Resources

The Ministry of Human Resources, is a federal government ministry that is responsible for determining the workforce policies and direction of the labour force in Malaysia.

The EPF is a social security institution formed according to the Laws of Malaysia, Employees Provident Fund Act 1991 (Act 452) which provides retirement benefits for members through management of their savings in an efficient and reliable manner.

Social Security Organisation

Social Organisation Security (SOCSO) was established in 1971 under the Ministry of Human Resources to implement and administer the social security schemes under the Employees’ Social Security Act 1969, namely Employment Injury Scheme and Invalidity Scheme. Effective on 1st July 1985, SOCSO had evolved into a statutory body.

Central Bank of Malaysia

Central Bank of Malaysia is a statutory body wholly owned by the Government of Malaysia with the paid-up capital progressively increased, currently at RM100 million. The Bank reports to the Minister of Finance, Malaysia and keeps the Minister informed of matters pertaining to monetary and financial sector policies.

Human Resources Development Fund

The Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF) is administered by Pembangunan Sumber Manusia Berhad (PSMB), an Agency under the Ministry of Human Resources, via the PSMB Act, 2001. In fulfilling the nation’s aspiration to attain the status of developed country by the year 2020, the HRDF was established in 1993 with the aim of developing quality human capital and world-class workforce in order to achieve a high income economy based on knowledge and innovation.

Industrial Court of Malaysia

The functions of the Industrial Court of Malaysia are to hear and hand down decisions or awards in industrial disputes referred to it by the Minister or directly by the parties and to grant cognisance to the collective agreements which have been jointly deposited by the employers/ trade union of employers and trade union of employees.

Institute for Labour Market Information and Analysis

ILMIA was established with the objective to provide excellent and professional services in the development of research and analysis on issues related to the National labour market. ILMIA functions as a one-stop-centre to enable users to access online labour market information via ILMIA Official Portal and Labour Market Information Data Warehouse (LMIDW).
